Marie was arrested on 8 may 2016 for the murder of her abusive husband. She was sentenced to 2 years imprisonment. Marie has only 8 months remaining to serve in detention. A former farmer and housewife, Marie does not know where to go upon release because she can’t go back to her husband’s village, where she spent most of her life before the unfortunate event.  

She needs to stay here in Bunia Town, to find an income generating activity/job to earn means to travel to her village in LIMAMWEZA (Mambasa) and start a new life.
